The Greenwich Peninsula Community Fund

The Greenwich Peninsula Community Fund is open for 2024 applications!

The overall fund is worth £1.9million which will support the delivery of community projects that will have a positive social, economic, and environmental impact on the local community.

In its first year, the fund supported 7 projects including pre-natal mental health, skills training for young people and environmental conservation. Grantees included Ahoy Centre, Breadwinners, London Gypsies and Travellers Charity, Motivez, Mums Aid & QueerCircle.

Tackling some of the most pertinent issues in the area, the Greenwich Peninsula Community Fund has been designed to support the most vulnerable members of the community. This includes investing in existing and new innovative projects that will deliver:

·       Improved access to employment and training opportunities

·       Active participation in the community (civic engagement) and improvement in life skills

·       Inclusive health and wellbeing programmes

·       Positive impact on the local environment

·       A reduction in crime and increase community resilience

“We are committed to making Greenwich Peninsula a thriving, active and sustainable community. The Greenwich Peninsula Community Fund plays a fundamental role in building the social infrastructure of the community and drives more voluntary organisation within the area to benefit the wider community.” Ushna Mughal, Senior ESG & Community Impact Lead at Knight Dragon

"Over the last ten years, the Greenwich Peninsula community has grown exponentially and, as the sole developer of the Peninsula, we remain committed to delivering value for those who live, work and visit here. We are proud to be investing £1.9m into the community through the Greenwich Peninsula Community Fund, and going into its second year, we are looking forward to engaging with many more exciting and valuable projects across the neighbourhood." Matt Hawkins, CEO at Knight Dragon

While the grants are primarily funded by Knight Dragon, the funding will be allocated with the support of a grants panel with representation from the Royal Borough of Greenwich, GLA and L&Q (who are currently delivering affordable housing on the Peninsula in partnership with Knight Dragon).
