Design District is London’s first permanent home for the creative industries with purpose-built workspaces across 16 buildings. Just one minute from North Greenwich Underground Station and in the heart of Greenwich Peninsula.

Canteen Food Hall & Bar is home to six mouth-watering street food kitchens serving global dishes. Sip on craft beer and hand-shaken cocktails from our bar in our fairy-light-filled venue or our sun-drenched courtyard.

NOW Gallery is a free public exhibition space for contemporary art, fashion, photography and design on Greenwich Peninsula. The gallery invites artists, designers and creatives spanning a breadth of career and backgrounds.

Bureau is the bustling heart of London's Design District — a place for eating and meeting. Open to all from 8am—6pm Monday to Friday. Extended opening hours on Thursdays and for our bi-monthly Supper Clubs.

We can't wait to party with you on Saturday, 10 August at Turning Tides. To help you plan your day a little better, we've answered some commonly asked questions about the event. Take a look below!

There's easy access via tube (with a lift from the platform to the concourse for anyone unable to use the escalator), bus, river boat or cable car, plus there's plenty of car parking and bike racks dotted around the neighbourhood. Click here to see all the transportation options available.  

The InterContinental O2 is located right on our doorstep with views of The O2 and Canary Wharf. Book your room here. 

While we encourage you to use public transport, we know it’s not always possible. The O2 offers over 2,000 parking spaces for non-event and hourly parking. There is also disabled parking at the O2 and electric vehicle chargers available at North Greenwich Tube Station car park. Find out more here.  

What are the accessibility options available?  

Our events are open to everyone, and that means accessibility is a key part of our planning.  We do our best to accommodate everybody, but due to the nature of the site, there are some limitations.  The Peninsula is mainly flat, so is accessible for wheelchair users.

Most of our events are ticketed, please follow the instructions on the individual event page to book your ticket.  We ask attendees to register for our events so that we can have a clear overview of numbers for health and safety planning – ensuring we have the appropriate resource for crowd management, toilets and first aid.   

The event is fully booked, how can I get a ticket? 

For all our events, a waitlist will be available through Eventbrite. To join the waiting list, please follow the instructions on the event page. If a place becomes available, tickets will be allocated to those on the waiting list in the order that people joined. Please check with our team at hello@greenwichpeninsula.co.uk if you have any questions, we are always happy to help where we can. 

Please cancel your booking through Eventbrite, so that we can reallocate the ticket. Alternatively, you can reach out to hello@greenwichpeninsula.co.uk with your request.  

All ages are welcome to most of our events. Where there is an age limit or restrictions it will be stated clearly on the event listing.  The bars have a clear challenge 25 policy, so if you are lucky enough to look under 25 years old, please bring a valid form of photographic ID.  

We do not have cloakroom facilities available. We kindly request that you only bring a small bag that you can easily carry on your body. Please note that we cannot accommodate any luggage with wheels, large bags, sports equipment, folding bikes, or scooters in the main event space.  

We have multiple food vendors and plenty of bars you can make use of, and whilst we encourage people to sample the offering here, we understand that you may want to bring your own food.  The only thing we ask is that you don’t bring glass bottles with you and please dispose of your waste in the bins around the site.  

Prohibited items
Please do not bring any of the items listed below.  If our security team finds you in possession of these, they may remove these items or ask you to leave the site.  

- Spray cans, gas canisters or compressed gas in any container 

There are public toilets in the NOW Gallery, Design District, The O2 and event specific toilets located near Canteen. There is also a wheelchair accessible bathroom.

Our events will continue rain or shine! In the case of adverse weather, we will reach out ahead with any changes that need to be made.  It is an open site, so please do bring the appropriate clothing.  

There are a variety of options including Canteen Food Hall & Bar, a street food hub located in the heart of the Design District. See the full list of food & drink here.   Bureau restaurant, which will be serving a range of drinks and snacks across the course of the day and some independent food traders.  

All our outdoor events are dog friendly.  We do ask everyone attending to a be a responsible dog owner and for dogs to always kept on their lead.  If the event is at capacity, dog owners may be asked to stand towards the back of the event area or in some circumstances to leave the main area for the safety and comfort of all.  

Whilst there is no set dress code most of our events take place outdoor and like the rest of the UK, weather is unpredictable. Please make sure to dress for the weather and make sure you’re comfortable! 

Yes, you can.  We want to reduce plastic use as much as possible.  We have a water fountain located in the Design District courtyard opposite Bureau where you can fill your water bottle for free.  

There is free public Wi-Fi across the Peninsula, simply look for ‘Greenwich Peninsula Wi-Fi’ on your mobile device when you get here, register, login and away you go.

We have a security team and a CCTV system across the estate.  If your child is lost, please speak to one of the security team who will be happy to help.  

Will you have photographers there on the day?

Yes – we will have photographer / videographers capturing content across the day.  We’ll be posting some of the shots from the day across our Facebook account the following week, so do look out and for yours and get feel free to tag you and your mates!

By taking part in the event, you grant us full rights to use the images resulting from the photography / filming. This might include (but not limited to), the right to use them in printed and online publicity, social media, and press releases. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform an event organiser and / or the photographer’s assistant on the day. 

Any lost property will be handed into the marketing suite/NOW Gallery in Peninsula Square.  We will hold items for 28 days after the event.  If not claimed by this point, items will be donated to an appropriate charity.   

If you are hurt or need assistance, we have qualified first aiders on site who can help you.  Please alert a member of staff or one of the security team.
