Explore the art of bamboo weaving with Yi Crafts as you learn to weave intricate patterns and craft a decorative coaster.

Held in the heart of our creative hub, the Design District and guided by skilled instructors from Yi Crafts, you’ll discover the techniques behind this timeless craft, which originated in ancient China and has been passed down through generations as a symbol of craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

Using sustainably sourced bamboo strips, prized for their flexibility and durability, participants will learn to weave intricate patterns and craft their own decorative coaster. Bamboo weaving is not only a practical skill but also a deeply symbolic tradition, representing harmony, strength, and resilience.

Bamboo weaving holds a respected place in many Asian cultures, particularly in China and Japan, where artisans have long used this versatile material to create household items, baskets, and even fine art. This workshop introduces participants to basic weaving techniques while offering a hands-on connection to the tradition of working with natural materials.

Celebrate Lunar New Year by creating a meaningful keepsake to take home, blending tradition with your own creative flair. Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage with heritage while enjoying a relaxing and rewarding experience.
