Moving Round the Corner Dance Workshop With Clod Ensemble

Clod Ensemble is an internationally renowned arts company based in our very own Design District. Led by Director/Choreographer Suzy Willson and Composer Paul Clark, they create provocative, finely crafted work driven by movement and music.

Learn the ropes (and some cool moves) from Clod's pro dancers, and bust a move to a diverse mix of music, featuring local tracks. This dynamic session, led by internationally renowned Clod Ensemble, is the perfect way to get your body movin' and groovin' to the rhythm of the Fete and the Peninsula.

11:00 - 11:45 Refresh

Join us to refresh, re-energise, breathe deeper and simply get in flow for the day ahead. This session will focus on breath and physical freedom, inspired by an energising selection of music.

13:00 - 13:45 Listening through moving

Find a new way to listen deeply to music by reacting physically. Move your body in response to specific instruments and dynamics in the music, and watch others as you create a visual band/orchestra.

15:00 - 15:45 Improvisation

Learn how dancers and musicians think about improvising when they’re performing. Experiment with creating your own movement, drawing inspiration from your hearing.

17:00 - 17:45 Find your groove

Learn specific steps, movements and combinations to find your groove. Tap into that magnetic force that makes you want to dance like no-one's watching.

Sessions are suitable for all movers and ages, including those who may not consider themselves dancers however, children must be accompanied by an adult. Come join the fun and express yourself through dance!
