Everywhere you turn at our Year of the Snake celebration, you’ll be met with bright colours, beautiful art, vibrant music and smiling faces. Take part in the free activities happening throughout the day. There's plenty happening and something for everyone to get involved in whether you want to get stuck in with the action or prefer participating from the side-lines.
Eastern Market
Step into the Eternal Market between 12pm - 4pm for a lively celebration of East and Southeast Asian creativity and tradition. Located in the open spaces of Peninsula Square, discover a mix of food, art, crafts, and community traders, offering a feast for the senses and the perfect opportunity to uncover one-of-a-kind treasures to take home. Curated by the Eastern Margins community, the market brings together contemporary and traditional fare, showcasing the richness and diversity of East Asian culture.

From 12pm - 4pm at Canteen Food Hall, immerse yourself in the modern sounds of Lunar New Year with a dynamic line-up of East Asian and Southeast Asian artists.

Experience an enchanting glow of traditional Chinese lanterns in this stunning installation by Yi Crafts at Canteen Food Hall. A celebration of artistry and culture, these lanterns are a symbol of hope, warmth, and unity, often associated with family gatherings and joyful Lunar New Year celebrations. Explore Canteen’s vibrant collection of independent kitchens, serving up a diverse array of dishes to delight every palate. From freshly made Vietnamese dishes to congee and youtiao street food, indulge your cravings any time of day.
